Stewarding a national legacy of ICT excellence
NICTAT supports the institutional continuity, public record and future development of the National ICT Awards ecosystem in Sri Lanka.
Recognition that helps innovation travel further
The National ICT Awards programme exists to showcase and benchmark Sri Lankan ICT products. Its published objectives bring together recognition, international opportunity, stronger quality standards and the development of young talent.
Recognise achievement
Provide national recognition to individuals and organisations that develop high-quality ICT products and contribute to Sri Lanka's technology sector.
Create global pathways
Give locally developed ICT products a route to wider recognition, including nomination to regional programmes such as APICTA.
Raise quality standards
Encourage local products and services to benchmark against international expectations for quality, relevance and market readiness.
Develop emerging talent
Create opportunities for tertiary and postgraduate students, researchers, start-ups and technology entrepreneurs to demonstrate capability.
From programme heritage to an enduring institutional record
BCS Sri Lanka has organised the competition since 1998, creating a platform for local ICT products to be evaluated, recognised and connected to wider opportunities.
The Trust extends that heritage through long-term stewardship: preserving programme knowledge, widening access to public information, strengthening ecosystem relationships and helping each new edition build on the last.
